Fresh Ceviche & Your catch in Playa Del Carmen
One of the best parts of a Hi Bob fishing trip doesn’t happen on the drive home. It happens right on the boat.
Every charter includes fresh ceviche made from whatever you catch that day, prepared right on board by the crew while you’re still out on the water. It’s not a scripted add-on. It’s a real part of the trip, and it’s often what guests remember most.
How It Works
Once you’ve landed a good catch, mahi mahi and Spanish mackerel are two of the most common, the crew cleans and preps the fish, then makes ceviche right there using lime, onion, cilantro, and whatever else rounds it out that day. You eat it fresh, on the boat, from fish that was swimming an hour earlier.
Guests have specifically called this out as a highlight of their trip. It’s the kind of detail you don’t get from a generic tour, because it isn’t one.
Taking Your Catch Home
Beyond the ceviche on board, we’ll fillet the rest of your catch so you can take it with you. Whether you’re cooking it yourself back at your hotel or rental, or just want proof of the day, you leave with more than photos.
Why It Matters
A lot of charters hand you a rod and call it a day. Hi Bob treats the whole experience, catch, prep, and eating what you caught, as part of the trip. It’s a small thing that makes a real difference in how the day feels.
